Our Website
The website is designed for our members, service users, Refugees, British Migrant Ethnic (BME) and those who are seeking Work in Peterborough & Cambridgeshire.
Organisation Status
PARCA is the First African Refugee Community Organisation since 2002 and is supported by the Peterborough Council for Voluntary Services (PCVS) Registered Charity: Number 1101650.
Aims and Objective
Our aim is to improve the lives of refugees and asylum seekers from the African continent who are residing in Greater Peterborough and the United Kingdom.
PARCA has been set up in response to the Home Office Policy to dispersed refugees to the region in order to fill the gap of integration with the host community and build bridges between communities.
PARCA wants every member of the community to receive a ‘high quality’ of support that fulfill their needs.

Project:
PARCA has been awarded a contract from the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC) to deliver a support project to assist British Migrant Ethnic (BME), Refugees and Migrants communities in Peterborough to improve their employability skills through volunteering.
This Website is the result of a major collective effort. Our gratitude goes to all its contributors and PARCA Team for meeting the challenge of compiling such a practical guide.
Our Thanks must be extended to NLDC which funded the project under "Active Citizens" in to work project and Clare Ibbostson, Business Development Manager of Peterborough College of Adult Education (PCAE) who managed and administered the fund.
Project kindly funded by NLDC and managed by PCAE
PARCA has recently become involved in the 'Sustainable Community Strategy' and the Local Area Agreement(LAA) and we are actively working with various partnerships to help achieve the LAA Targets. We also attends the Voluntary and Community Sector Forum meetings which are held on a quarterly basis and bring lots of knowledge to the table. We are also committed to help Peterborough become a better place by 2011 as outlined in the Sustainable Community Strategy.
